The South Korean giant has been the company that has invested the most in flexible smartphones, and its next big proposal would be the Galaxy Z FE, a terminal that would have everything to become a model. the most economical in its class. It sounds good, but if you’re thinking about getting one, I’m sorry you will have to wait more than a yearas its launch will take place after the arrival of Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.

In theory, Samsung has another “affordable” smartphone project ahead of the Galaxy Z FE. I mean Galaxy S23 FE, a terminal that has spawned a huge amount of rumors and leaks, and which has yet to be officially unveiled. According to the latest information, it will arrive on the market “soon” and will retain the same approach we saw with the Galaxy S21 FE, i.e. it will be a cheaper alternative to its older brother, the Galaxy S23.

Coming back to the Galaxy Z FE, the truth is that the information we have is quite scarce, but we can deduce some interesting things from the data we have. The first is that if it really is to appear as a cheap flexible terminal, its price should be lower than the Galaxy Z Flip5whose price in Spain is 1,209 euros.

The Galaxy Z FE could be the Galaxy Flip5, but with a much more modest secondary screen to keep costs down.

This leads me to think that its introductory price it should be about 799 euros. Yes, because it’s not really economic figures nor within the reach of the average consumer, but it would be enough to make it the most affordable foldable smartphone today, since it would be cheaper than the Motorola Razr 40, whose price base is 899 euros.

We can also be clear that the Galaxy Z FE will not be a model with high-end components and that Samsung will most likely take advantage of the opportunity to use the components it has in stock. At the SoC level, it should be minimal a generation behind of what the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 fasten, which means it could arrive configured with a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC.

It remains to be seen whether this new terminal will adopt a Fold design with a vertical bend or a Flip design with a horizontal bend. The truth is, because of the cost and price difference between the two, I’m inclined to think so it is most likely an adaptation of Flip and therefore have a shell design and a horizontal fold.
