The article noted that news links now appear as “cards” in users’ feeds with an image, source address, and abbreviated title, helping to engage readers with media content.
Reuters notes that shortened links will allow users to add small text to a news post, which may encourage users to consider using the premium X subscription, which will allow a single message of up to 25,000 characters to be posted.
They added that with such changes, Musk is positioning X as the optimal platform for creators.
“Premium subscribers will now be able to post longer videos, their posts will appear higher, and they’ll also get a share of ad sales,” the article says.
