Many of these applications have, of course custom configuration section, but what many users ignore, especially the most common and less curious (that is, those who have not taken the time to explore all the sections and functions of their phone from cover to cover), is that the Android settings section also allows you to make some settings related to services Google. And it’s not that it’s something very difficult to find, because it’s actually located behind the item called Google in the phone and operating system settings.

In this section we find the most diverse settings, from configuring the auto-fill function to parental control, to game panel settings and configuring advertising linked to our Google account on the device. The good news is that this is about to change. And it is, according to Android Central Google is already testing the new design of the Google settings section on Android. At the moment, yes, its scope is limited to the Google Play Services beta version, 23.33.14 Google Play Services, and even installing it does not necessarily mean that we already have access to this rework, as its deployment seems to be quite limited.

This new design, as you can see in the tweet images, now offers two tabs, one with a small selection of settings, displayed in a much more visual layout, and a second tab with all settings that replicates the current layout and provides access to all elements. So the key will be whether what is shown in the Recommended section is the right choice for ordinary users. In this regard, and although there is no official information, we can understand that the selection will be context sensitive and probably based on artificial intelligence.

There’s also no estimated rollout date for this feature at this point, so it seems likely that we’ll have to wait a few more months before it’s available to everyone.
