Starfield is, as I already commented this morning, one of the most anticipated games of recent times, so much so that there are those who even risk it to take advantage of the huge expectations created by the first IP created by Bethesda since The Elder Scrolls (remember that Fallout was originally created by Interplay Productions). And yes, it’s true that it’s best to be cautious with news, as this year has been full of disappointments, even though the company has been claiming for months that they’ve done their homework.

Although the design of The Elder Scrolls saga titles is undoubtedly complete it has grown by several orders of magnitude thanks to the community modder, which over the years has significantly enriched the experience with all kinds of accessories. In this, of course, Bethesda has adopted a policy of supporting modders, as opposed to the case of other companies, such as Rockstar, who have repeatedly persecuted them (they did so, for example, shortly before the launch of the ill-fated GTA: The Trilogy, with modders publishing mods for titles included in the remastering that almost deserves more to be labeled as a demastering saga).

So before the ever-closer arrival of the Starfield, we can hope that the arrival of the first mods will not take too long. Now, there will still be those who still wonder if Bethesda will open their hand so much to these creators considering it’s a brand new game, plus the developer is now part of Microsoft, who might not be aware of this game favorably. some kind of unofficial plugins.

The good news is, yes, nothing has changed in that regard. So as you can see in the interview from the tweet Pete Hines, vice president of Bethesda, confirmed this modders will not only have access to tools for creating new missions and stories, but also to brand new planets in the Starfield. A very smart approach, because in the end, mods can help games generate even more interest among their potential players. And, of course, it is especially good for users, because this ecosystem allows the experience not only to enrich, but also to expand, since new missions, new planets, etc. significantly extend the life of the game, which, by itself, already promises quite large.

This is also doubly good news. Why why? Starfield was developed with Creation Engine 2a new graphics engine from Bethesda that represents a leap in quality with respect to the Creation Engine that was used with Skyrim and Fallout 4. And surprisingly, this engine will also be used with a future installment of The Elder Scrollsso we can expect similar policies and options.
