In a rather strange move, Realme just unveiled the GT 5. And it’s kind of weird because we don’t have the GT4 (many Chinese companies don’t release products with the ‘4’ in their name due to superstitions), the Realme GT 3 has yet to see the light of day. West.
A few weeks ago, Realme told us that its initial intention is to bring the GT 3 to Spain this summer, but they have yet to receive confirmation. This did not happen and with the new Realme GT 5 already presented, it seems unlikely that the previous generation will come out now. However, let’s move on with the Chinese company’s new product because now, combines state-of-the-art components.

Extreme power and load with very careful design
When it comes to design, Realme GT5 is the most interesting. And the camera module is similar to that of the Realme GT3, with a series of LEDs that indicate the state of the mobile (although it has not been released in Spain, we were able to test it on Xataka). .
In this generation, four LED surrounds with customizable motifs, a sticker that allows us to see which processor the terminal has and also the module has a very large size.
It reminds us of the Google Pixel camera module, but much wider. And since we are talking about cameras, we have a main camera. 50 megapixel IMX890 sensor from Sony8 megapixel sensor and 2 megapixel macro lens for wide angle.
If we go to the front, we have a centered camera with a 16-megapixel sensor, and the edges of the screen are curved. It is a sizable 6.74 inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
It seems that Realme will not leave anything unfinished in this generation and maximum brightness is 1,400 nits. There’s still an increase at a point where the panel is concentrated, but it’s a remarkable brightness capacity.
When we get inside, we find some of the most advanced features of the year, especially the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is the processor we see in mobiles like the Xiaomi 13 Pro, OnePlus 11 or Asus. Zenfone 10 proved to be a real beast with good heat dissipation.
Accompanied by up to 24GB RAM memory (an absolute disgrace we’ve already seen on the Redmi K60 Ultra) and up to 1 TGB of storage. As for the battery, we have a capacity of 4,600 mAh with a 240 W charge. According to Realme, the health of the battery will remain at 80% after 1,600 charge cycles.
Now there is an important point: this 240W speed is for 1TB model only. For the rest of the memory configurations, the battery is 5,240 mAh with 150 W charging, which is no less.
As for the system, it comes fully updated with Android 13 and Realme UI 4.0 layer.
Versions, price and release of Realme GT5
According to the specs, this is truly a beast and one of the most interesting launches of the year, but the bad news is that it’s only available for China for now.
We don’t know about a global launch but we do Realme GT 5 prices. These are:
- Realme GT 5 with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage costs around 380 euros for 2,999 yuan.
- Realme GT 5 with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage costs 3,999 yuan (about 507 euros).
