After the Supreme Electoral Tribunal of Guatemala ratified the results of the elections in that country on August 20, the Mexican government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), sent this Monday Congratulations and support to Bernardo Arevalo de Leon and Karin Herrera to formalize the election results.

In a statement, the Mexican government extended “Your most sincere congratulations and support” President and Vice-President-elect of the Republic of Guatemala Bernardo Arevalo de León and Karin Herrera Aguilar “for officially announcing the results of the elections on 20 August”.

SRE’s message is complemented by a message from Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who congratulated the neighboring people and the brother of Guatemala for the triumph of Bernardo Arevalo.
