A passenger of Australian airline Qantas lost his iPhone on the plane. And they couldn’t find him for several flights.

The man contacted Qantas to help him in this stupid situation. He said that his wife left her iPhone on the plane. Users guessed using the Find My program and learned that the phone was left on a plane flying from Sydney to Auckland. After that, the smartphone returned to Sydney, after which he left the city and went to Honolulu and eventually found himself back in Sydney. But their adventures did not end there: the iPhone flew back to Auckland and then back to Sydney.

Users concluded that during the first flight, the device got stuck in the chair his wife was sitting in. At the same time, the story may not be so innocent. In 2016, on a Qantas flight from Los Angeles to New York, an iPhone stuck in a chair exploded after the lithium battery inside the phone deformed. Fortunately, the team managed to put out the fire with fire extinguishers.

Unfortunately, this story did not motivate Qantas employees to better inspect their planes before flights. This time they were lucky: everything went well and the iPhone returned to the hostess.
