The Japanese brand has released a statement that it has increased the PS Plus annual subscription prices, which it introduced last year, at all levels. For those who don’t know, Sony’s PS Plus subscription is similar to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, and free games can be downloaded every month for the duration of the subscription. There are also other benefits such as exclusive discounts, cloud saving and online multiplayer.
Sony did not directly explain the reason for the price increase for the PlayStation Plus subscription. The company added that this will be implemented worldwide, allowing them to continue to offer high-quality games and additional benefits for the service. The recently revised PS Plus subscription prices will go into effect on September 6. The price increase will not affect existing PS Plus subscribers until the next renewal date on or after November 6th. However, changes in membership, such as upgrades, downgrades or purchasing additional time, will be reflected in the new prices.
