As every Thursday GeForce Now celebrates GFN Thursday, the day of the week when NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service adds new compatible titles. Whether it’s summer or winter, snow or sunshine, its users always have the good news that the catalog is growing, growing and growing. It does so every week in the headlines, but on many occasions also in terms of features and scope.
For example, last week one of the most anticipated moves was finally completed, and it was announced a few months ago, with the arrival of Xbox Game Pass to GeForce Now. Users who are subscribers to both services will be able to play titles included in Game Pass directly in GeForce Now, i.e. without the need to install them on the system. In addition, games available in the Xbox Store for PC are also added, so purchased titles (regardless of Game Pass) will also be playable in the NVIDIA cloud.
At the moment, we have access to a small selection of Game Pass titles and the Xbox Store, but the plans of both companies assume bring 100% of both catalogs (store and subscription) to service.. And as for its integration, since I’m a subscriber of both platforms, I’ve tested it several times in the last few days (for work, it’s not about spending hours playing, don’t get me wrong…) and I can say that in all cases the experience was insurmountable.
Now the player lives not only from Xbox and Xbox Game Pass, henew titles are coming to various platforms and of course moving from them to GeForce Now. For users who still don’t know how GFN works, we’re talking about a cloud gaming platform that allows you to play in the best conditions the games you bought in the main digital stores and, since last week, those included in Xbox Game Pass, if you are a Microsoft subscriber. That said, GeForce Now isn’t a game store (although it does inform you about special offers in stores).
Having clarified that for anyone still unclear on what exactly the service consists of, let’s take a look at the list of 13 new games that were added to the catalog of games compatible with GeForce Now this week:
Note that if you have one of these games and haven’t tried GeForce Now yet, the basic subscription level of the service is completely free and that even though it has some limitations, it will serve you perfectly for your first contact with it and confirm that it works as well as we usually tell you.
Once the test is done, and if you like what it offers, you can upgrade to a priority type account, which will have no waiting list to start playing, enjoy much longer gaming sessions, and will be able to use advanced graphics modes and features. And if you want the best of the best in this regard, you can opt for GeForce Now RTX 4080 accounts which, as the name suggests, will offer you an experience similar to a high-end PC, but in the cloud.
If you looked at the image that opens this article and then the list of games coming to the service this week, you were probably a little surprised. In this case, this clarification will dispel your doubts, because in addition to confirming this week’s release, NVIDIA has already given us a first glimpse of what we can expect next month. So it’s confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be available on GeForce Now from launch day… but it won’t be the only one, as We’re told there will be at least 12 games available from day oneand that at least as many more will be added to the catalog of services.
And if you’ve been thinking about buying a Chromebook but being put off by its inability to play games, we also have good news for you, as Google and NVIDIA have partnered up to give buyers of the Chromebook get three months of GeForce Now priority account for freewhich will allow them to prove for themselves that the cloud makes any device suitable for enjoying the best games, whether they are small and adorable indies or big blockbusters with very demanding requirements.
