Another one fromfar-right Proud Boys leaders was sentenced this Friday to 18 years in prison.
Besides, another member received 10 yearsfor his participation in assault on the US Capitol Donald Trump supporters on January 6, 2021.
Ethan Nordin, one of the leaders of the group was sentenced to 18 years in prison, which is less than the prosecutor’s office asked for. Nordian was found guilty of conspiracy against rebellion and other crimes.

“If we don’t have a peaceful transition of power in this country, we won’t have anything,” U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly said.

In a statement to the judge on January 6, Nordin described: “A complete and utter tragedy” and said he went to the Capitol to be a leader and keep the people out of trouble.
“While I do sincerely regret what I did that day, my biggest regret is that I didn’t become a better leader,” he said.
He advocate from Nordin, Nick Smith, asked a sentence of 15 to 21 months.

Before, Dominic Pezzola, another Proud Boys member yelled “Trump won” as he walked out of court after being sentenced to 10 years in prison for his part in the Capitol attack.
Dominic Pezzola did not play a leading role in the group and was the only defendant of the five who was acquitted on charges of seditious conspiracy.

However, he was found guilty of other serious crimes, including obstructing official procedures and assaulting the police.
Judge Kelly ruled on Thursday that Two other former Proud Boys leaders, Joseph Biggs and Zachary Rehl, are serving 17 and 15 years in prison.respectively.
Thousands of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol after a speech in which the Republican falsely claimed that his defeat in the November 2020 election was the result of widespread fraud.
