Sky News reports this, as Ukrinform reports.
The spacecraft was launched at 11:50 a.m. local time from the island of Sriharikota on the east coast of the country.
According to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISPRO), the spacecraft will be launched into low Earth orbit. It will then be launched to the Lagrangian point (L1) using an onboard engine.
Aditya-L1 will travel 1.5 million kilometers in about four months and enter a halo orbit around the Lagrangian point (L1) of the Sun-Earth system.
Aditya-L1 started generating power.

Due to the balancing of gravitational forces, the ship is fixed in orbit.
According to ISPRO, the Aditya-L1 mission is India’s first space observatory-class solar mission to study the Sun’s atmosphere.
The spacecraft carries seven payloads to observe and study the photosphere (the Sun’s innermost layers), the chromosphere (the layer about 400 to 2,100 kilometers above the photosphere), and the corona (the Sun’s outer layers).
The article says long-term data from the mission will contribute to a better understanding of the Sun’s influence on Earth’s climate models.
Aditya-L1 will send 1,440 images to ground stations each day for study, processing and distribution.
As reported, on August 23, India became the fourth country to successfully land the Chandrayaan-3 mission on the moon.
