A video of the Brimstone missile launching and hitting ground targets has become public. Thus, the general public was shown what the launch platform looks like in the “ground-to-ground” version of these missiles. The video shows weapons from countries supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian invaders being tested at the test site.

The missiles came from the United Kingdom, which had previously said it would deliver the homemade Brimstone to Ukraine. The video shows the launch of guided missiles from a module mounted on the chassis of a small truck. These missiles are used together with the mobile launcher as anti-tank.

The launcher uses a standard aircraft mounting unit designed to accommodate up to three Brimstone missiles simultaneously. Such external suspension holders are designed for installation on fighters and bombers. Note that the personnel of the Brimstone missile are designed to carry tactical aircraft.

In the case of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three units of rocket age were mounted on a special structure mounted on the body of the car. It is worth noting that Ukraine was the first operator of Brimstone missiles in the ground version. We have previously reported that such missiles were used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces against the Russians.

The rocket with a mass of 49 kg has a rocket length of 1.8 m, a trunk diameter of 180 mm. The warhead of the Brimstone basic missile is a tandem cumulative mass of 6.3 kg. These missiles in the first versions were made with a single-channel guidance system with an active radar head homing millimeter range.
