Possible price of Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in Europe

Its presentation is scheduled for October 4, and thanks to a new leak, we have all the details Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro price in Europe. Both terminals will rank in what we can consider to be high-end and maintain the commitment that Google has made to computational photography based on artificial intelligence.

As expected, it will be the “cheapest” of the Google Pixel 8 pair, in quotes because it won’t be exactly cheap, although it will cost less than the Pro model. According to the source, this terminal will have a price €874.25, including taxes, in the version with 128 GB of storage capacity. The 256 GB version will cost €949.30, including taxes. Bear in mind that in both cases VAT of 23% has been applied and that in Spain VAT is 21% so these figures will be slightly lower.

The price of Google Pixel 8 Pro will be €1,235 in its version with a storage capacity of 128 GB and €1,309 in its version with a capacity of 256 GB. Again, 23% VAT was applied in both cases, so it should cost a bit less in Spain for what I explained to you in the previous paragraph.

If these prices are confirmed, the increase compared to the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro would be significant, as both reached the Spanish market with an introductory price 649 euros and 899 euros, respectively. The difference would be 225.25 euros in the case of the Pixel 8 and 336 euros in the case of the Pixel 8 Pro.

The truth is that these price differences seem too big to me, so I doubt the veracity of this leak. However, the price of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro that we saw in this information is within the level at which giants like Samsung and Apple competeso it is possible that Google wanted to enter directly into that league with both terminals, and therefore it remains to prepare for the huge increase in price that could come.

Both terminals will use the Tensor G3 SoC, a proprietary chip manufactured by Samsung that could use the South Korean giant’s 4nm node and which, as we told you at the time, will be configured with 9-core CPU divided into a Cortex-X3 core at 3.09 GHz, another with four high-performance cores on the Cortex-A715 architecture at 2.65 GHz and another block with four high-efficiency cores on the Cortex-A510 architecture at 2.1 GHz. Its GPU would be the Xclipse 900 series and would be based on RDNA 2 architecture or in RDNA 3.
