This was stated by the German Chancellor at the opening of the Munich Motor Show on September 5, Ukrinform reports.
“I believe that no one can make electric mobility more powerful, beautiful and more attractive than electric car manufacturers,” the Chancellor said.
He stated that it is planned to have 15 million electric cars on the roads of Germany by 2030, but for this, a charging infrastructure suitable for such cars should be established. The number of public charging points in Germany has more than halved to over 90,000, and in the next few weeks the country will be the first in Europe to pass a law that would make it mandatory for operators of nearly all petrol stations. To provide fast charging for electric cars with a capacity of at least 150 kilowatts. One of the most important arguments supporting e-mobility for citizens is the possibility of charging at home. There are currently 700,000 private charging stations in Germany financed by the state through the KfW bank. It is planned to create another 300,000 such stations.
The Munich Motor Show, one of the largest in the world, will take place from September 5-10. Approximately 750 exhibitors from 28 countries are participating in the fair.
