Spatial computer, VR/VA/MA viewer or whatever we want to classify Apple Vision Pro is another example that Apple is usually not the first to design a new type of device, but he has the ability to rediscover themthus becoming a reference for many other manufacturers, whether they have already been in this market or decide to approach it once those from Cupertino present their a game changer. Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, iPad… the list of success stories for those from Cupertino is something remarkable in this regard.

With Apple Vision Pro however It is still too early to assess its true impact, as the first units won’t go on sale until next year and will do so in a very limited fashion, initially only in the United States, with international expansion expected to be gradual. In addition, we have to add the production problems that the company would face, something that seems to be an endemic evil of the company, considering that the already very close iPhone 15 Pro Max also seems to have hit the same stone. ..

However, yes there are certain signs that can tell us about what happens when the long-awaited debut takes place. In this regard, we heard more than a month ago that the developer community has not yet made the leap, although Apple recently signaled the opposite, saying that developer interest exceeded their expectations. It will be interesting to watch developments in this sense as it approaches its sale.

Another element that needs to be taken into account when estimating is the reaction of other companies, i.e. if they show interest in the given market. And in this regard, they have reasons for optimism in Cupertino, because according to what we can read in 9to5Mac, Meta has teamed up with LG to produce a device that competes with Apple’s Vision Pro. And we’re talking about an important move, because let’s remember that Meta has many interests and assets in the virtual reality headset market.

The future Meta device would be part of the Quest Pro family, and according to the said publication, LG would participate both in the production of part of its components and in the assembly phase of this future browser, which should be launched in 2025. at a price of around $2000. However, The plans appear to be more ambitiousbecause they would also work on another much cheaper model, aimed at the entry range of this new market segment, or halfway between “classic” virtual reality and spatial computing, as defined by Apple.

It seems an important moment, yes, to remember Mark Zuckerberg’s first reaction to the announcement of an apple device. As we told you before, at the staff meeting criticized Apple’s Vision Pro design and right after that he used the opportunity to explain the advantages of Quest Pro. So it seems he must have had a change of heart, or rather that those June words were more of a somewhat angry reaction to Apple ignoring metaversions.
