After installing the latest Windows 11 update, many users started experiencing recurring blue screens of death. Operating system version KB5013943 conflicts with some antivirus drivers for many users. Blue screen of death can be the result of all kinds of errors, but it is the result of a conflict between system files and certain apps or processes. Sometimes the update causes problems with certain drivers.

It will be remembered that KB5013943 is a security update released on May 10. We have previously reported that this update causes problems reflected in the malfunction of some services. Now there is an explanation: the blue screen sometimes appears and disappears so fast that users cannot read the error message.

Sophos has confirmed that the source of the error may be software. The company has also released a workaround that prevents Windows 11 from crashing:

• Go to Windows 11 Settings and then Windows Update;
• In the pause updates section, open the menu and select Pause for 1 week;
• Then open the control panel;
• Go to programs and components;
• Click “View installed updates”;
• Find KB5013943 in the new window;
• Right click and select “Delete”.

Sources say that the Windows 11 22H2 update, codenamed Sun Valley 2, will reach pre-release status on May 24. Source
