Galaxy Note 10 series will no longer receive updates

Samsung usually supports its smartphones for 5 years, but the Galaxy Note 10 series released in 2019 only received 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security updates. As of today, software support for the Galaxy Note 10 series has ended. This means these phones will no longer receive new OS updates or security patches.

Previously, Samsung brought the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus to a quarterly update; this meant they received security patches every 3 months. Now the Korean company has completely stopped supporting Note series software. The two phones were released in 2019 running Android 9 out of the box. Samsung later updated them to Android 10 in early 2020. The Android 11 update will arrive in late 2021, and the Android 12 update will arrive in late 2022.

Although this situation disappoints some users, it should be noted that the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are still phones with these features. They will continue to work as before, but without the latest security updates, they may be more vulnerable to security risks. If you’re concerned about security, consider upgrading to a newer phone that still supports the software.

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite, in particular, will continue to receive quarterly security updates since its launch in late 2020. Other Note models such as the Note 20 Ultra and Note 20 will receive updates until 2024, but not major Android releases. expected
