News Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 7800 XT AMD introduced them about two weeks ago, during Gamescom 2023, and as we told you then, these are the models that complete the RX 7000 generation, a measure that we can imagine the company took to facilitate the removal of all stock that from The RX 6000 still remains, but that leaves users of the brand without expected models like the now-defunct RX 7500. In any case, it’s possible that there will be revisions to the current models, but no new models.
From the very day of the presentation, we had answers to two pretty important questions about any startup: release date and price. So we already reported that the Radeon RX 7700 XT will be available for purchase from 489 euros, while the Radeon RX 7800 XT will have a starting price of 549 euros, in both cases based on the reference model, because, as you already know, then manufacturers usually assemble custom models, with higher performance and a slightly higher price. And as for the date, as we assumed, today, September 6, is the day it goes on sale.
However, as it sometimes happened that the expected date turned out to be only indicative, I looked for both the RX 7700 and RX 7800 models in various retailers, for example in PcComponentes and at the time of publication of this news, inWe found stock of both GPUs with multiple models for each. Of course, none of them fully match the prices originally indicated by AMD, although we can understand that this is at least partly due to what was indicated above, that these are better models than the reference ones.
With the launch of the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 7800 XT, the RX 7000 series is thus supplemented by six models:
Let’s remember that The Radeon RX 7900 GRE was originally going to be sold only in the Chinese market, but that AMD finally decided that its scope was global, although it is true that it arrived in the vast majority of markets only in pre-assembled equipment, without the ability to purchase it separately and assemble it in a home-built PC. So it’s the model of this generation that has seen less of a follow-up for obvious reasons, but to give some additional information about it, some reviews have claimed that it’s closer to the RX 7800 XT than the 7900.
Be that as it may, users who want to make the leap to this generation of AMD They already have all the same models on the market. In this regard, AMD is ahead of NVIDIA, which has yet to confirm when the GeForce RTX 4050 will go on sale (although its mobile version has been available on many PCs for months), which we take for granted. before the end of this year.
Have you been waiting for one of these models to go on sale to upgrade your PC? And if so, which one did you decide to buy and why? And more generally, what do you think of this AMD generation?
