Apple today released macOS Monterey 12.4, the fourth major update to the macOS Monterey operating system released in October 2021. MacOS Monterey 12.4 was released two months after the release of macOS Monterey 12.3, an update that added universal management.
The macOS Monterey 12.4 update can be downloaded to all relevant Macs in the “Software Update” section in System Preferences. For those still using Big Sur, Apple has released the macOS Big Sur 11.6.6 update, as well as the macOS Catalina 2022-004 security update.
After the “macOS Monterey” 12.4 and iPadOS 15.5 updates, “Universal Control” is no longer in beta testing. This is now an official feature that Apple has reluctantly accepted, and the beta tag has been removed. Universal Control was introduced in March and lets you use a single mouse/trackpad and keyboard across multiple Macs and iPads.
Added support for the Studio Display in macOS Monterey 12.4, firmware 15.5 designed to improve the quality of the webcam. There is also an update for Podcasts where Apple has added a setting that limits the number of episodes stored on a Mac and automatically deletes old ones. Source
