As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Innovations, Education, Science and Technologies – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram.

“We are strengthening technological cooperation between Ukraine and Japan – we met with the Japanese delegation. Members of the Ministry of Economy of Japan were presented by businessmen, including Hiroshi Mikitani, CEO of technology giant Rakuten. Telecom, agribusiness and telemedicine are with us technological solutions that will help during reconstruction shared.” said Fedorov.

He noted that a separate track deepens the collaboration with Rakuten.

Fedorov emphasized that the company has been supporting Ukraine since the first days of the all-out war and that this support is gradually increasing. “We discussed with Hiroshi the possibility of joint projects on the English language, integration of Diya and strengthening of Ukrainian telecom infrastructure,” he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the support of one of the most technological countries in the world is very important for Ukraine.

Reportedly, Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa visited Ukraine on September 9. This is the first visit by the head of Japan’s Foreign Ministry to Ukraine since the beginning of full-scale war.
