Offensive Security has announced Kali Linux 2022.2, the second update this year to one of the best GNU / Linux distributions specializing in computer security.
Kali Linux is quite references in the world of hacking. It is used by cybersecurity experts and ethical hackers to test systems security, although its popularity has grown into a system that can also be used as a universal distribution for users interested in security and privacy. KaliLinux 2022.2
It is the second version this year and comes with improvements to available desktop environments, Microsoft’s WSL GUI, terminal improvements and new tools. Kali Linux 2022.2 has been updated to the desktop environment Gnome 42 and offers a more modern look, removing arrows from pop-up menus, and using more rounded edges. A built-in screen capture and recording tool has been added and the Kali-Dark and Kali-Light themes have been updated.

This version also includes an update Plasma KDE 5.24 with improved interface design and customization. Another significant change is that applications will now respect the custom icons added by the Kali team instead of displaying the older and probably more pixel icons that are part of the applications.
Team Kali has added a Hollywood-inspired screensaver that distra users will recognize because it was created as part of their Anglo-Saxon April prank “Kali 4 Kids”. For those who use Kali Linux under the Windows Subsystem for Linux, the developers have included Win-KeX, which allows you to run GUI applications using WSL-G.
