The cargo spaceship “Tianzhou-5”, which has been in orbit around the Earth for about ten months, left China’s “Tiangong” orbital station and headed towards Earth.
This was reported by the Chinese Space Agency CMSA, Ukrinform reports.
According to the message, the ship has completed all the tasks assigned to it in orbit and tomorrow it will make a controlled entry into the planet’s atmosphere from the flight control center, during which most of it will burn up and the surviving remains will fall to a designated place. Tianzhou-5 was launched last November and delivered scientific research equipment to Tiangong and supplies to the crew of the Shenzhou-15 manned mission on the space station.
Earlier, on May 5, Tianzhou-5 also departed Tiangong Orbital Station for technical inspection and docked again 33 days later.
China successfully launched a modified Changzheng-6 (Long March-6) launch vehicle with a new Earth remote sensing satellite on Sunday, as reported by Ukrinform.
