It’s been raining for a while since the server set foot in schools, although not yet enough to use mobile apps for students. I discovered one of these almost by accident, because I was thinking of recording the show and found a great multi-purpose app. It’s about ‘Class Time’ and yes, it still exists.
In fact, this is a calendar application that, I admit, is not very complete. However, it is quite useful in terms of its functions and can more than meet the needs of most people, especially highlighting its functionality visual section and widgetsAfter all, these are what made me fall in love.
Free one key function
The application, also known as ‘Lesson Calendar’ in English, is quite accurate with what it offers: An interface where we will add our class calendar. Just like the classic “old fashioned” program that other apps offer that we have on paper.
To be able to do all this in great detail Add as many topics as we want at different times from Monday to Sunday. So we are not limited to just regular classes, we can also add other activities that take place on a specific day and time (see football, basketball, dance or others).
Another function of valuing is that it is “smart”. understand the duration of lessons. Usually one-hour periods are set, but the reality of universities, institutes and colleges is that they do not always have the same duration. In my case it was 50 minutes, so it was enough to structure a first class with this duration so that I would be given 50 minutes as standard in subsequent classes as well.
Your payment option may (or may not) be worth it, but it’s very cheap
There is a paid version of ‘Class Schedule’, but available for free No problem. In fact, I used it for years without paying even a single euro. Paid version that costs on Android 1.09 euros forever (this is not a subscription) it barely adds optional functionality like being able to view the schedule horizontally or adding reminders.
In any case, I have already said that this is not necessary. Frankly, I won’t deny that I really liked being able to see the entire program the day I decided to pay. By default you can only see one day vertically. But swiping left and right shows the rest, so it’s nothing dramatic.
Behind its widget and with great additional tasks
Starting from the end, I will say that the function that I considered the least practical has become one of my favorites: the possibility of adding tasks. You can benefit from here add tasks to complete or score quizzes. In this way, more agenda functions are gained that go beyond a logically simple program.
In my particular case, I started using it only for exams. Over time, I also added daily tasks or long-term tasks to be done around the house. In the paid version you can configure reminders that pop up as notificationsso I made sure I didn’t forget anything.
If there’s one thing about the app that fascinates me, though, it’s its simple yet useful widget. As you might have guessed (and as you will have seen in the previous image) the widget is quick view of the day’s schedule What situation are we in? This prevents us from going into the app or looking at an agenda on paper, and being able to see it at a glance if it’s available on the home screen.
Has functionality even for non-students
Once I left my student days behind, ‘Syllabuses’ were left aside. But it didn’t take me long to do it find unintended but very useful uses. And here everyone can benefit from it in their own way; I personally have found a few ways to continue to get the most out of it.
For example, Jobs that involve relatively repetitive tasks. In my history as a manager, I have always spent my time on billing tasks, others on accounting, others on budgeting, and a few other tasks. Moreover, depending on the day, I had to prioritize some tasks over others, so with ‘Syllabus’ I managed to organize a similar schedule to the one at school and I found this quite useful.
I’ve only recently found a specific use for this, but I can assure you it’s vital for me: I know what to eat and have dinner every day. In order not to waste food and to avoid having anything left in the fridge, I organize a meal and dinner plan every week, which I strictly follow, although it may vary. So every Sunday I rearrange the ‘Schedule’ to add in the times I will have lunch and dinner.
In both cases Widget reemerges as best utility to see everything at a glance. Although this is my specific use case, I’m sure it could be practical for many other user profiles as well. Of course, it is mostly aimed at students and if you are, I recommend you try this app.
