During the iPhone 15 event, Apple also announced new storage options for iCloud. For sixty euros per month you can store up to 12 TB of files in Apple’s cloud.

All the attention may have been on the iPhone 15 last night, but Apple also had equally interesting news to announce for iDrive users right at the end. For those for whom 2TB of storage is no longer enough, Apple is adding two new formulas. These include 6TB and 12TB of cloud storage.

Prices in comparison

The new iCloud formulas have not yet been added to the subscription overview on Apple’s website, but we know that the formula with 6 TB will cost 29.99 euros per month and 59.99 euros per month for 12 TB of storage. The complete iCloud offer therefore looks as follows.

storage Price per month)
50GB 0.99 euros
200GB 2.99 euros
2TB 9.99 euros
6TB 29.99 euros
12TB 59.99 euros

These new formulas will be available starting September 18th. In addition to more storage, you also have access to all of iCloud’s premium features, such as hiding IP addresses or email addresses while browsing, your own email domain, and HomeKit Secure Video support to share security camera footage on your devices.

If we look at competitors’ offerings, 12TB of cloud storage is pretty unique. For Microsoft subscriptions, 1TB in OneDrive is the default option, Google offers up to 5TB in its Workspace subscriptions. Only Dropbox goes even further with the Advanced subscription, which includes 15 TB for 18 euros per month per user. Dropbox, like Microsoft, recently discontinued its “unlimited” storage formula.
