A group of independent researchers from the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has found no evidence of extraterrestrial origin of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
NASA chief Bill Nelson said this at a press conference, Ukrinform reported with reference to CBS News.
“NASA’s independent research team has found no evidence of extraterrestrial origin for UFOs. But we don’t know what type of UFO it is,” Nelson said.
Last year NASA He assembled a group of 16 experts to investigate how UFO data is collected by government agencies and the private sector. On September 14, they released a 36-page report called “Independent Investigation of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena” with a set of recommendations for how NASA could better facilitate scientific investigations of UFO encounters.
The document states that several encounters with UFOs “cannot be immediately identified as a man-made or natural event.”
He also notes that studying these phenomena requires “new reliable data collection methods, improved methods of analysis, a systematic reporting system, and reduction of stigma.”
As reported by Ukrinform, the US Department of Defense will publish declassified information about unidentified flying objects and abnormal phenomena on a special website.
