Valve has launched a promotion that lowers the price of the Steam Deck up to 20%. The offer will be available until September 21 and for all console versions.

The promotion is part of the 20th anniversary of Steam’s launch, which Valve is celebrating this week with a roundup of the best annual launches on the platform and historic moments in the world of technology that have taken place over the two decades.

Initially, Valve celebrated the anniversary only with discounts on games, both on the Half-Life series and on many others, including the CoD series, Mass Effect, Halo, Tekken, Tomb Raider or Sid Meier’s Civilization and many others with discounts reaching 91%. But last night he sent out a tweet announcing it as well reducing the price of own hardware.

Valve’s portable console is largely responsible for the good moment the handheld gaming market is having. Although there were already others on the market and in the heat of success even more powerful ones arrived from ASUS or Lenovo, remains a reference in the field. Valve regularly launches deals, and it was clear that an anniversary like the one they’re celebrating this week couldn’t be left out.

Hardly said than done The current offer reduces the price of three versions:

• Steam Deck 64GB: $359.10 (10 percent off)
• Steam Deck 256GB: $449.65 (15 percent off)
• Steam Deck 512GB: $519.20 (20 percent off)

This is transferred to Spain with the respective prices 377, 466 and 543 euros. The official expansion base is also reduced by 20% to €79 for the occasion.
