For the first time, Ukraine has received two major CYBERSEC Awards in the field of cybersecurity: the heroic resistance to Russian aggression and the protection of the digital borders of the democratic world.

According to Ukrinform, this was announced on Telegram by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, the award ceremony took place today at one of the largest cybersecurity events at the European CYBERSEC European Cybersecurity Forum.

Fedorov emphasized that in recent years, Russia has repeatedly attacked Ukraine on the cyber front, including Ukrainian state resources, websites, banking system and media.

“We repulsed these cyberattacks and strengthened the state’s cyber resilience, and Ukrainian cyber experts worked and created value. But with the start of a full-scale war, we not only began to defend ourselves, but also joined the Ukrainian cyber troops in the country. Today we are waging the world’s first cyber war with us,” he said. .

“Our brave soldiers have proven that the so-called ‘world’s second army’ are ordinary looters and murderers, while our IT community refutes the myth that Russia is the most powerful cyber state,” the minister said.

“What the world is seeing right now is unprecedented,” Fedorov said. “This is a new level of experience, not just for us, but for other countries as well. We examine it together and intuitively find solutions to help counter this threat.”

“Thank you to everyone who defended Ukraine with us on the digital front. This is our joint victory! I’m sure there will be more of them.”

As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov said that there was “crazy” demand for Ukraine’s practical experience to counter the aggressor in the first cyber war in history.
