Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Innovation, Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov claims that there was no leak of sensitive information during Russia’s large-scale occupation of Ukrainian territory.
He stated this at an event for media workers “Editorial Board”. Summit”, reports Ukrinform.
“Cyber attacks are constantly being repelled. In the large-scale war that lasted a year and a half, there was not a single leak of sensitive information. I think we did our homework properly before launching Action. The architecture was adopted in such a way that personal data is not stored. Fedorov explained how the recording is done so that every action is delegated there We’ve developed rules for how it should work.” said.
He mentioned that the Ministry of Statistics had created a team that constantly “attacked” our resources before the active phase of the war began. This gives the opportunity to search for vulnerable locations and develop countermeasures. Thus, a solution was found that would allow this data to be transferred to the cloud and continue working in case a certain physical infrastructure is destroyed.
“For example, on the first day, a missile hit the reserve center and it was destroyed. However, the work continued,” the minister said.
Moreover, after February 2022, Ukraine ordered an audit of the “Diya” application, which lasted 6 months with the help of partners. Later, experts gave recommendations for further development of “Action” and noted that it was a strong project.
Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education Development, Science and Technology added that our experts are also constantly attacking the enemy’s resources. “We get a lot of information from the registry of the Russian Federation. We just don’t write about this publicly very often,” he added.
