American company Joby Aviation will establish the first factory for the production of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxis in Dayton, Ohio.
This was reported by Flying Media, Ukrinform reported.
“We are building the future of aviation where it all began, in Dayton, Ohio,” said Joby Aviation Founder and CEO Joby Bevirt.
It was noted that the facility can produce up to 500 aerotaxis per year.
Construction of the facility is expected to start next year and be fully operational in 2025.
As Ukrinform reported, the American company Joby Aviation announced that the electric aerotaxis Joby S4 with vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) has reached the world’s highest flight speed of 330 km per hour in the eVTOL category.
