The American software company Automation Anywhere announced a significant expansion of the use of generative AI at its own event Imagine 2023 in the Texas city of Austin.

During its own Imagine 2023 event, Automation Anywhere announced its plans to further advance generative AI. Especially it Automation success platform gets an upgrade.

Well-filled additional layer

According to Automation Anywhere, the basis of these innovations is new Responsible AI level. This includes new custom generative AI automation models developed from LLMs. These models are trained using anonymous metadata from millions of automations. The new layer also includes AI tools and security features.

An important part of the Responsible AI level is the collection AI tools, governance and best practices. This enables companies and organizations that do not have AI specialists in-house to create AI automation responsibly and with the necessary digital guardrails.

This collection of AI tools includes:

  • Model selection: Users can choose an AI model from many providers and Automation Anywhere integrates it securely
  • Test and optimize: Tools that allow users to test models and challenge them to find which ones work best for them, including guidance on how to fine-tune them
  • Prompt templates: a collection of reusable prompts for each model, to which users can also add custom templates
  • Data and privacy controls: tailored privacy controls and features
  • Monitoring and audits: a set of generative AI analysis and auditing tools to monitor model performance and data protection

This entire collection of tools and features will be available early next year.

Renewed

Automation Anywhere announced new generative AI applications back in June and the company is now building on them. That’s how it works Automation co-pilot for business users the ability to integrate LLMs and new use cases such as: B. Email triage or routing for customer service teams. Money laundering warnings and reports are possible in the financial sector; in the healthcare sector, patients can receive a summary after a consultation.

The Automation Co-Pilot also serves as a guideline for companies to use AI responsibly. The system therefore also monitors how companies communicate with generative AI.

Another feature that is getting an upgrade just three months after the announcements in June Document automation. This intelligent document processing solution can now leverage generative AI to understand, extract and summarize data faster. The system supports various document types and use cases along the supply chain, such as contracts or orders.

Completely new

In addition to these two updated systems, there are now two brand new generative AI copilots in the Automation Anywhere portfolio. Both features should dramatically shorten the ROI cycle, from months to minutes.

The first to take care of it is Automation co-pilot for automation engineers. It allows developers to convert commands into personalized end-to-end automations through natural language prompts.

This co-pilot features a recorder with generative AI so automations are not affected by changes in applications. The system can also suggest measures for a possible next automation step in real time. Automation co-pilot for automation engineers is already in beta and will be generally available early next year.

Number two on this short list is called Autopilot. This feature uses generative AI to generate new end-to-end automations. This system combines several features of Automation Anywhere:

  • Process Discovery: accelerates automation
  • CoE Manager (Center of Excellence): monitors automation
  • Automation co-pilot for automation engineers: see above

This combination ensures accelerated development: only a few minutes would pass between the discovery of the process and its automation. The latter can thus be developed much more quickly if necessary. Autopilot will be available early next year.

In addition to all these updates, Automation Anywhere also confirms that it is strengthening relationships with companies such as Google Cloud and AWS. The company has been working with the former for several years, mainly in the area of robotic process automation (RPA).
