Hisense launched the L5K laser TV series in China. These TVs are available in three different screen sizes from 100 to 120 inches. It is claimed that these TVs, with features such as 4K resolution, digital laser engine and Harmon Kardon speakers, offer an immersive multimedia experience.
Before we talk more about the specifications, you need to know what laser TVs are. Essentially, laser TVs are not like traditional TVs. These are laser-only Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors. But this definition is not always accurate, as manufacturers tend to add various functions and accessories that can make it look like a completely different product. For example, Hisense provides L5K TVs with foldable screens that do not require drilling holes in walls.
Now that you’re well-informed, here’s what else: Hisense Laser TV L5K series features LPU digital laser engine, 8-layer precision optical structure, and blue laser light source. All this provides 4K resolution. The peak brightness of the 100-inch version is 420 nits, the peak brightness of the 120-inch version is 380 nits, and both versions have a contrast ratio of 3500:1.
The Hisense L5K Laser TV (as does the projector unit) has a “sleek and sporty front design” with breathing lights on both sides. In addition, the TV only needs 13.8 inches from the wall to project a screen larger than a hundred inches. This laser TV series is equipped with Harman Kardon 2.1.2 surround sound system, consisting of 5 speakers and 3-channel amplifier, providing a total output power of 100 watts.
Hisense Laser TV L5K series is powered by MediaTek MT9639 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 1TB storage. It also supports NAS hard drives. As for the price, the 100-inch model costs 25,999 yuan ($3,567), the 110-inch model costs 36,999 yuan ($5,076), and the 120-inch model costs 49,999 yuan ($6,860).
