The HONOR V Purse was one of the mobile phones the manufacturer unveiled at IFA 2023 as a concept design for what will be its next foldable. Now the Chinese market launch has just been announced and it is as spectacular as we expected.

HONOR is doing very well and the result is an increase in terminal sales. And it’s interesting given the current bear market the entire tech sector is in. Models like the 90 series give very good results, and the Magic V2, which we also saw at IFA, can compete with anyone in the high series. And it also has a folding one, like the one we are dealing with today, where the manufacturer takes risks and innovates with a unique concept.

If you carry the vast majority of mobile phones in your pocket, the new HONOR product hangs (or rather shows off) like a bag or wallet in what it represents. an innovation that combines technology and fashion. Its vertical format features an external display that can mimic different bag patterns and materials, while the hanging beads respond to movement like those on a real bag. A surprising approach… and valuable given how little risk is taken in the mobile segment.

Wallet is still a mobile phone and a good mobile phone at that. The chassis is made in magnesium alloywhile the “butterfly wing” hinge mechanism uses aluminum and both the back and front are protected by glass. Extremely thinits thickness when folded is just 8.6 mm, while its weight is contained in 214 g. Deployment is done with a simple tap of a dedicated button.

The cameras are located on the vertical base of the terminal and have a dual 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels. It has a 4500 mAh battery with 35W fast charging, dual SIM, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 and the usual mobile sensors including a fingerprint sensor on the side. It has a USB Type-C port for charging and data and stereo speakers.
