According to the file submitted by SpaceX to the FCC, the dimensions of the Starlink mini antenna are 29 x 25 cm. SpaceX claims its first Starlink mini antenna is designed for portability.
SpaceX explained in its application that the mini antenna “will allow consumers to enjoy high-speed, low-latency broadband wherever they live or work, including rural and remote areas where mobile or portable applications are needed.”
The second antenna that SpaceX submitted for FCC approval is the updated standard Starlink antenna.
The new Starlink antenna offers “a high-performance solution for consumers that enhances fixed user terminal models previously authorized by SpaceX Services,” the application states.
The second Starlink antenna is 57×36 cm in size.
It is stated that SpaceX’s application to the FCC does not specify when the new antennas will be available for purchase.
As reported by Ukrinform, on Wednesday, September 20, SpaceX launched a group of 22 Starlink internet satellites into orbit.
