All users of GitHub Copilot for individuals now have access to a beta version of the chatbot Copilot Chat.
A beta version of the chatbot was already available to all GitHub Copilot for Business users in July. Now it’s also available for individual users in Visual Studio and VS Code.
The combination of GitHub Copilot Chat and GitHub Copilot creates a digital assistant that can support developers in the natural language they prefer. The bot is activated for free for all individual Copilot users. You will also receive an email that will guide you through the steps.
According to GitHub, anyone can now learn new languages or frameworks, fix bugs, or get answers to coding questions in a natural language without the IDE (integrated development environment) leave.
