A new leak has surfaced on the network today, saying that the company plans to launch two new smartphones from the 12th series this year. The devices are expected to be called Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro.

An insider posted a message to Weibo via the Digital Chat Station, detailing a few key features of future devices.

According to Weibo, the Xiaomi 12S Pro will be a completely different device. It is expected to be equipped with a new chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. The SoC will reportedly use a 4mm TSMC manufacturing process, which will make the overall performance and power consumption of the device much higher.

Rumor has it that the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus includes a core Cortex X2 as well as three Cortex A710 cores and four Cortex A510 cores. The clock frequency will be about 2.99 GHz. It is expected to hit theaters next Friday (May 20).

The Xiaomi 12S Pro is expected to have a large 2K display. New image enhancement features have been added and some design changes have been made.

The Xiaomi 12S will be a smaller device with an FHD display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The size of the screen has not been announced yet, but it is said to have an appropriate size. The device will reportedly have a flexible curved display with a single hole and will reportedly have a triple camera with a 50-megapixel main camera on the back panel. There is no news about additional cameras yet, but the device may undergo some hardware changes. Source
