Eight mummified men wrapped in cotton cloth and tied with ropes were found in a 1 meter deep ditch by employees of the Calidda company, which provides natural gas to residents of the Peruvian capital.
Archaeologists believe the mummies belong to a pre-Incan culture called the Ichma, which formed around 1100 AD and flourished in the valleys around Lima.
