Digital Realty today announced the availability of high-density colocation services through PlatformDigital, the company’s global data center platform.

With infrastructure configurations ready for High Performance Computing (HPC), Digital Realty’s high-density colocation services enable enterprises to overcome the processing and proximity challenges associated with the unstructured and exponential growth of data and deployment connected by AI.

In today’s digital landscape, companies face the increasing challenge of managing and leveraging massive amounts of data. This rapid data expansion brings with it many challenges, such as performance issues, compliance complexity, and scalability limitations.

“We recognize the data management challenges faced by organizations, where exponential data growth can hinder performance and innovation. While we already support hundreds of high-performance computing implementations across our portfolio, we listened to our customers and went the extra mile to deliver standardized configurations and ultra-high performance densities,” said Scott Mills, senior vice president of engineering and Customer Solutions at Digitale Immobilien.

With this offering, the company hopes that enterprises can quickly deploy high-performance infrastructure on a global platform and achieve optimal performance in the age of AI.

Emerging technologies

Companies are increasingly turning to new technologies such as AI to analyze and process this data more effectively. These new technologies consume large amounts of power and require dedicated infrastructure to support them, delivering high power density while safely and efficiently controlling temperature to ensure performance is not compromised.

Key features:

  • High Density Support: Supports workloads of up to 70 kilowatts per rack.
  • Cooling: Uses innovative Air-Assisted Liquid Cooling (AALC) technologies.
  • Global availability: The solution is supported in 28 markets across three regions including North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
  • Expandable and Sustainable: Scale with flexible and sustainable consumption models.

By using PlatformDigital, customers can benefit from a comprehensive ecosystem of connected data communities that enable secure, low-latency connections and fast data transfer.
