Finnish telecommunications company Nokia announced the launch of its Network As Code platform on Tuesday. The platform offers developers simplified network functionality in the form of software code that can be easily integrated into applications.
As reported by Ukrinform, this situation was reported by dpa.
The purpose of the platform is to speed up the network programming and monetization process.
According to the Finnish company, networks of the 5G era are based mainly on software, which is significantly different from the design of networks used many years ago.
Nokia said today’s network capabilities fall into two main groups: 5G capabilities and advanced capabilities that include subscriber and device status and billing, and don’t require 5G networks to make them available.
The company announced that the platform will be commercially available starting from December this year.
American developer Microsoft will stop issuing software licenses to Russian companies after September 30, Ukrinform reported.
