Acer Nitro V 15 is a new laptop with which the Taiwanese company wants to carve out a niche in the competitive mid-range device focused on PC games. If another of their notebook lines, like the Predator, is spectacular but at a high price, the Nitro offers good features at a reasonable price.

The new Nitro mounts the screen 15.6″ IPS diagonal and native FHD resolution. Its screen-to-body ratio is 82%, and its focus on gaming can be seen in its refresh rate 165 Hz and with a response time of 3 ms.

Its cooling system is a new design with two fans of more than 30 cm in size, which promise to maintain the components “cold and ready to fight”. They’re combined with a dual-inlet cooling system that draws air from the keyboard and bottom cover, then dissipates heat through several strategically placed vents on the sides and back.

The Acer Nitro V 15 has been updated internally with the latest generations of processors and graphics from Intel and NVIDIA, a combination that is widely used by manufacturers. The processor is a Core i7 13th generationRaptor Lake, while one reserved is GeForce RTX 4050. It’s not the fastest graphics card on NVIDIA’s latest platform, but it offers efficient AI-based rendering capabilities with DLSS 3 and ray tracing.

It can fit up to 32 GB of DRR5 memory and an M.2 PCIe 4 SSD with a storage capacity of up to 2 TB. Let’s just say the audio part has been improved with DTS:X Ultra surround sound technology and sound modes tweaked to suit different gaming genres. Acer includes its AI-powered technologies, Purified View and Purified Voice, to optimize the quality of video calls.

In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 6 and a Thunderbolt 4 port. The notebook includes one month of Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. With Windows 11 pre-installed, the Acer Nitro V 15 (model ANV15-51) will be available in Spain on the Acer portal and retail channel. from October and from 1,099 euros.
