Researchers from the University of Washington (USA) have created an autonomous robot that can work with solar energy and radio waves. This is reported by Interesting Engineering, Ukrinform.

The MilliMobile robot is the size of a coin and weighs as much as a raisin.
It has an energy storage device similar to a solar panel and four wheels. The miniature device moves at a speed of up to 10 meters per hour, even in cloudy weather.
The robot can move on surfaces such as concrete and can carry equipment (camera, sensors) weighing three times the weight of the device.
It uses a light sensor to automatically switch to sunlight sources, ensuring continuous operation.
The research team tested MilliMobile indoors, in parks, on farms and in the office. Even in very low light conditions, such as under a kitchen counter, robots can move, albeit much more slowly. This keeps them working continuously.
