as he reported channel 24On Monday, May 16, the banking application “Privat24” stopped working properly for some users. Often customers of the service complain about the inability to enter the application.

As of 4:30 p.m., the bank did not comment on problems with the service, but the network may encounter a number of users complaining of not being able to use the app.

It will be reminded that on May 12, the bank also experienced a minor malfunction in service. Interestingly, even then, in most cases users complained of not being able to log in to the app and take any action.

The application has been restored

In comments on Privatbank’s official Facebook page, bank representatives said the service was unstable.

Wait a minute, everything will work out soon. We apologize for the inconvenience caused,
– experts noted.

Then a report like this came out: app functionality restored.

moving to europe

It will be remembered that the state bank Privatbank moved its data centers to the territory of the European Union. This step was taken to prevent the physical destruction of data centers in the Dnieper and Kiev.

In general, the following were transferred to Europe:

  • 3500 servers;
  • More than 4 petabytes of customer data and transactions uploaded to the cloud;
  • More than 270 important apps have also been migrated.

In early March, Privatbank faced disruptions due to data transfer processes to data centers outside Ukraine. It is possible that recent and current disruptions are also immigration related.

Beware of scammers

Human Rights Commissioner Lyudmila Denisova reported new fraudulent schemes. Allegedly, letters are sent to email from Privatbank and Oschadbank, which are actually aimed at stealing personal data and even funds from accounts.

The emails allegedly ask users to confirm payment or update accounts. Lyudmila Denisova urges not to open any links in such letters and not to download any attachments. Read more about the new scheme and how to protect yourself from fraud here.
