OWC has introduced the Envoy Pro Mini Pocket SSD, a ultra compact size, great performance and full compatibility for use on computers, tablets or mobile phones.

We have already seen how the benefits of SSDs have been achieved by external storage solutions. It is a pocket model, but with the performance and capacity of a full-fledged SSD for audio, photography, graphics, games and general data storage / backup for consumers, students and professionals.

The Envoy Pro Mini is slightly larger than a flash drive and works with Macs, Windows PCs, iPads, Chromebooks, Android tablets and Surface and USB-enabled Thunderbolt (USB-C) devices made in the last 15 years. For that, It has a double connector.by default, USB type C, but if you turn the unit over, it allows you to use USB type A to increase compatibility without the need for cabling.

The unit is built in a machined aluminum chassis that dissipates internal heat and allows for minimal weight transfer anywhere in the pocket. Its performance is also excellent because OWC promises data transfer in sequential read mode 946 MB per second.

This handheld SSD can be used in a mixed environment of macOS and Windows computers. For the Apple platform, OWC optionally sells MacDrive software, which runs in the background and provides both read and full write access. Includes features for formatting and splitting drives and fixing drive issues. Works with Apple Time Machine and Windows File History.
