A web version of Photoshop is now available

Adobe already had about two years of work on the web version of Photoshop, his best-known and best-known instrument, which has continued to evolve throughout its decades of existence. And although it may seem less, the truth is that the most famous photo retouching application was 33 years old last February and during all that time it managed to become a reference not only in the professional field, but in general they point out that for many people uses this name to generically refer to image editing and retouching applications.

Photoshop is not really an easy to use application or to be more clear it requires an extensive learning process complete with many (many) hours of work to get the most out of it. It is true that within five minutes of first contact it is already possible to perform simple operations, but as we progress in our needs, the time and knowledge required grow exponentially. That’s why Adobe also offers Photoshop Elementsa much more recommended option for private users who only need a small fraction of what a professional application offers.

In order to reach more users, as I already mentioned, the testing of the web version started some time ago, which was updated in the middle of last year and as we could already see at that time, he aimed pretty well. Furthermore, during the tests, Adobe considered offering a free version of the service with basic functions for all users who are interested in using the tool without having it installed on their computer.

Well, the beta phase is over, as Adobe said The final version of Photoshop is now available on the web for interested users. The web version of the application is now available to all subscribers to the Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite plans, who will also have access to part of the application’s tools, even if they work on other computers (for example, those who do not have the application installed, of course).

Moreover, before the market launch Adobe has also included Adobe Firefly features, a generative artificial intelligence that offers features like generative fill and generative augmentation, and of course, since it’s an online service, users will be able to save their work to the storage included in their Adobe Cloud accounts. The bad news, however, is that Adobe seems to have ruled out offering a basic and free version of the service, at least for now.
