According to the company, the total number of electric vehicle deliveries in the third quarter was 435,059 units, and the total production volume in the third quarter was 430,488 units.
In the previous quarter, Tesla reported total deliveries of 466,140 vehicles and total production of 479,700 vehicles.
“The sequential decline in volumes was due to planned outages for plant modernization… Our 2023 production target of approximately 1.8 million vehicles remains unchanged,” the company said.
Analysts expected Tesla’s electric car deliveries to be 461,640 units in the third quarter of this year.
Tesla shares remained virtually unchanged on Monday at $251.6, despite reports of a nearly 7% decline in electric vehicle shipments from the previous quarter.
