Collaborative document editing, similar to Google Docs, will be available in Zoom next year. According to production director Smitha Hashim, the tool can include AI-generated information and summaries during Zoom meetings.
Zoom is also working on adding interactive virtual objects during video calls for purposes such as product advertising or training. In addition, they plan to add a function that scans the “non-verbal signals” of meeting participants and provides clues, such as offering to call someone who looks like they want to talk.
In September, Zoom introduced AI features like summarizing calls and typing messages during virtual calls. New tools are included in paid plans at no extra cost. According to Hashim, the company aims to keep its artificial intelligence features free for users.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Zoom video conferencing platform will train its own models based on artificial intelligence using user data.
