Newskill Serike and Serike TLK are the most successful family from the wide and varied range of keyboards of the Spanish company. And this is not much, because in this portfolio we find a wide range of designs adapted to different needs, which have always found an excellent reception in the market, so being the most successful in this context is undoubtedly something to highlight.
Success is now fleeting, and if we don’t adapt to the times, we risk being pushed out of that position. At Newskill, they are certainly fully aware of this, and instead of resting on their laurels, they are committed to updating their reference products just to keep them that way. A few weeks ago we saw him with the Newskill Kitsune V2 chair, a renewal of the bestseller, and today we witness the arrival of the new Newskill Serike V2 and Serike V2 TLK.
The most important difference between this new generation and the previous one is undoubtedly that now Newskill decided to mount a PCB with hot-swap support, so that we can hot swap the switches, a feature highly valued by many users. In addition, compatibility is ensured by the choice of standard 3-pin sockets. But let’s take a deeper look at what these new Newskill Serike V2 have to offer us.

The possibility of replacing the switches results, as I have already indicated, from a change in the design approach of the keyboard, which mounts an improved PCB within an attractive aluminum chassis. You can see in the picture below complete keyboard structure. The picture shows the TKL model, but the same design can be found in the full version:
Without leaving the issue of switches, the Serike V2 and Serike V2 TKL mount the new NewSwitch Red switches, but in such a way that the user can evaluate the different options and adjust the response of each key individually, Both models contain 16 additional switches, eight green NewSwitches and eight purple NewSwitches. In the image below you can see the characteristics of each of the types:
In addition, if you want to further customize the keyboard, Also included are eight blue keycaps (the keys that go on the switches)., which will give us an ultra-fast visual guide to the positions of these keys. And for those who want to go even further, it can also be purchased separately, complete set of black or white keysto complement those that are part of the purchased one, either if we want to have a spare in the same color or if we want to combine black and white.
In terms of performance and reliability, we are talking about a very fast keyboard, both in the physical capture of keystrokes thanks to the mechanical switches, and in their reading and transmission thanks to its 1000 hertz polling rate (one query per millisecond). In addition, so that the speed of its use does not turn into a problem, has anti-ghosting technologywhich guarantees us a reliable and smooth user experience.
Aesthetically, as you can see in the pictures, We are dealing with quite an elegant design, very neat.which is evidently supplemented by LED-RGB lightingwhich we can manage from the keyboard management application that has been renewed by Newskill and now has an improved interface and more functions, but also directly from the keyboard if we use it on another PC on which we have not installed the software for said keyboard.
The main difference between Serike V2 and Serike V2 TKL, apart from the number of keys, is of course that the first, full format, includes a wrist rest which is magnetically fixed to the body of the keyboard, which is not the case with the TKL model, something quite logical, considering that common users who prefer this type of keyboard do so for space reasons. And for his part aThe TKl model includes a volume control on the top rightan element that we do not find in the 104 model, for which we can access the mentioned adjustment using the function keys.
New keyboards Newskill Serike V2 and Newskill Serike V2 TKL now on sale on the Newskill website, with black and white options and their prices are 99.95 euros for the full layout model and 89.95 for the TKL variant. Really reasonable prices, considering that we are talking about mechanical keyboards with interchangeable switches and professional performance.
