CD Projekt RED has released patch 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077, a minor but highly anticipated and important update as it introduces performance improvement in a game which, as most of our readers already know, is one of the most demanding we can find on PC, even if we don’t activate ray tracing.

This fix contains in addition to performance improvements specific fixes for the PC version which affect one of the most important innovations we have seen in this title, Ray Reconstruction under DLSS 3.5. Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.01 highlights

• Performance improvements on both PC and console, mainly related to the Dogtown area, which is part of the Phantom Liberty expansion.
• Addresses some bugs that occurred in certain missions and scenario locations that could end up hindering progress in them.
• Fixed several issues that were affecting secondary missions and specific situations, which again prevented progress in them.
• Fixed a bug that showed the controller play interface when you were actually using a keyboard and mouse. Interestingly, I suffered from this problem for a few days, coming and going randomly, and yes, it was annoying, although it didn’t stop me from playing.
• Image quality has also been improved by enabling Ray Reconstruction with the ultra-powerful DLSS Super Resolution mode.

Deployment of this new patch has already started and It is available on both Steam and Good Old Games. After opening any of these clients, it should download and install without issue. If it still doesn’t seem to be available, don’t worry, these types of deployments usually take a gradual approach and it’s normal to end up taking a bit longer on certain occasions.

I remind you that you want to get this patch It is not necessary to have the Phantom Liberty DLC, and that it will download and install even though we only have the base game because it was updated to version 2.0 by default. This is positive because a patch that improves performance and fixes bugs is always appreciated. Patch It will not come to the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game as it has not been updated to version 2.0.
