According to new information, AMD is working on a Radeon RX 7600 XT with 16 GB of memory, a graphics card that would place it in the middle class and that can offer very interesting value in the price/performance ratio, assuming everything I tell you below is confirmed.
Theoretically Radeon RX 7600 XT It fills the gap that exists in the midrange from AMD, specifically between the Radeon RX 7600 and Radeon RX 7700 XT. This difference is quite large because the difference in performance between the two graphics cards is significant. To make it a more interesting product for consumers, the said graphics card should have 16 GB of graphics memory, even more than the Radeon RX 7700 XT, which has 12 GB.
Radeon RX 7600 is most likely heavily trimmed version of the Navi 32 core, because the Radeon RX 7600 already uses a full-fledged Navi 33 chip, which means that it no longer offers any room for maneuver to create higher models. It would only be viable in stripped-down versions to revive less powerful graphics cards than the Radeon RX 7600, such as the Radeon RX 7500.
If these specs are confirmed, the Radeon RX 7600 XT It would be in the same league as the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in terms of raw performance, and would support all the technologies and advancements that AMD implemented into the RDNA 3 architecture. It would also be fully compatible with FSR 3 and Fluid Motion Frames, AMD’s frame generation technology.
The price of this graphics card should be a maximum of 399 euros, a figure that would also make it a very competitive model in terms of price-performance ratio, as I told you at the beginning of this article. It could be launched between the end of this year and the beginning of 2024.
Keep in mind that none of what’s been said is confirmed, and that AMD has abandoned the completion of its Radeon RX 7000 series at the time, so it’s possible that we won’t see new releases within said generation. All options are open right now though I believe that new graphics card makes a lot of sense.
