The government has also called on companies to put in place measures such as content moderation algorithms and reporting mechanisms to prevent future distribution of child sexual exploitation material.

Telegram stated that violent material against children is expressly prohibited in its terms of service.

“Telegram moderators are actively patrolling the platform and receiving messages from users to remove content that violates our terms,” Telegram said in a statement on Saturday. said.

YouTube said it removed more than 94,000 channels and more than 2.5 million videos in the third quarter of 2023 for violating its child safety policy.

“We have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material. Any content that puts minors at risk is unacceptable to us,” a YouTube representative said.

Social network X has not yet responded to a request for comment.
