In most cases, this is because boiler rooms, base stations and other objects operate on electricity. Meanwhile, the Minister of Energy has already called on Ukrainians to buy generators for the winter.
Why do internet and communications disappear during a power outage?
The base station, or as we call it, the base station, also operates from a central power source. While a full charge of the station is sufficient for a maximum of 4-5 hours in the absence of electricity, a full day’s charging is
– announced the publication.
They added that some stations were equipped with backup power sources (generators) but did not have time to fully charge the tower.
Since the electricity is cut off in the boiler rooms, heat is also lost when the lights are turned off.
“So if there are no generators there, they will not work. But in addition to the boiler room, the heating station may also remain without electricity – this is the next link that carries heat to the heating systems,” journalists explain.
